Connect with God; grow in faith and community; serve the greater Marysville area; and share God's story with our world.  This is what we're about.

"...Declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come." Psalm 71:18b

"When people stop believing in God, they don't believe in nothing -
they believe in anything."
                                                                             G.K. Chesterton

As someone wrote, "A Great Church is when the people in the church make a Great Commitment to the Great Commandments and the Great Commission and do those with Great Compassion!"   In January we looked at the Great Commandments and how the apostle Paul simplified things into one simple thing - serve others.  We looked at the Great Commission as involving maturity plus ministry plus mission.  We also looked at the Great Compassion and the challenge to compassionate service.  You see a church should be a place which offers you a place to connect with God, a place to discover significance and a place to join others in a larger way of making a difference in this world and eternity.  And finally, we looked at how church should be a place you can call home.  We also heard from Marice Huson our missionary to Europe give thanks for your prayer and support.  Sign up for the Free Methodist World People magazine to keep up on our global mission and pray with more knowledge of needs at hand.  The sign up cards are on the info table in the lobby.

Now, home is a place where you feel safe and where you mature.   A topic that needs to be discussed in healthy homes is sex.  So, this month as your home church, we will be looking to the bible to see what it has to say about sex and related topics.  We'll look at the topics of sex, marriage, dating, temptaion and purity.  We'll be offering the book, The Purity Principle by Randy Alcorn to all first time guest and making it available at cost to all those who attend services.  Think of a friend or family member to pray for and invite.

A small group looking at how 10 weeks of dating can re-ignite your marriage has started on Sunday mornings.  Another group on parenting young children has also started on Sunday mornings.  You can still get into those groups this week.  If 9:30 AM Sunday morning doesn't work for the parenting group then there is one forming on Weds nights from 7 to 9pm at the Quereshi home and it started on the 17th.  Call into the office to sign up now.  Look for the information table on Sunday  and in the program on Sunday morning, as well on this web site for more information.   Check out the opportunities for you to grow spiritually so you can discover how to make a difference in this world.
                                                                     Seize every opportunity with joy!
