Small Groups @ Marysville FMC

Small Groups are designed to assist in forming new relationships, grow in your spiritual understanding, and to make a difference in the lives of others at home, work and in the community.

Life Focus Groups are focusing on Pastor Vic’s sermon series in the Beatitudes, “Life’s Healing Choices.” Life happens. Happiness and healing are ours for the choosing. Because we are living in uncertain times, people are losing their jobs, homes and health. Others are suffering emotionally from their hurts. Many are losing their hope for the future. It seems like all of us al in some form of renewal and recovery mode. The good news is that Jesus gave us a way to experience daily renewal and recovery for the problems we face.

Bible Focus Groups are planned to be an in depth Bible study, using the Bible. Precepts groups use an additional resource (a workbook) to deepen their study.

Special Focus Groups seek to provide tools, resources, and community for those seeking to integrate faith with life. Coming from a Christian perspective, these groups are planned around life stages, vocation, or support.

Our Fall 2010 groups’ listing will be available for viewing in September.

We have an extensive resource library to help you start to host and facilitate a home group with other individuals or couples. Many of these are DVD enriched. Simply pick up a DVD, a leader’s guide, invite 4 or more people to connect with you to grow, and you are off and running! This list is a representative sample and is not exhaustive!

Worship Celebrations

Classic Worship (8:15 am)
A classic worship format highlighting hymns, sharing, prayer and a sermon from God's word.

Life Focus (10:00 am)
Classes designed to help children, teens and adults to grow in Christian faith and understanding.

Casual Worship (10:00 am)
A casual and energetic service featuring a worship band that blends contemporary and original music. A practical talk on living the transformed life will strengthen you as you connect with God in your journey of faith.
